Process & Pricing
Each of my interior design services begins with me getting to know you, because design is a collaborative process. And it’s really fun.
The first step in my process is for us to set up a call to get to know each other. I'll ask you to tell me about your style and share images of rooms or furniture pieces you love, so we can narrow down the look and feel you want to achieve. But design isn't just about aesthetics—it's about function. I will ask you how you're using the space so the design will support your lifestyle to make things a little easier and a lot more organized. If you have existing furniture, art, or photos you'd like to include in the updated plan, let me know! I can incorporate them into the design so they become part of a cohesive vision.
Every step of the way, I will show you my ideas and get your feedback.
There will be no surprises, and everything will feel like you.
If after our initial call you decide I am a good fit for your design needs, we will set up a two-hour consultation at your home. We’ll walk through the space and discuss your design needs and preferences at length, and I’ll take measurements. Following the meeting, you can then choose to move forward with me in a variety of ways:
DIY Option
If you’re simply looking for guidance and some ideas for getting started, you’ll take the reins after our initial consultation. I’ll follow up with notes from our meeting and a summary of steps for you to take along with a guide to shopping for paint, furniture, window treatments, and accents—this is included in your consultation fee. I do *not* provide specific products recommendations here.
If you are the do-it-yourself type and just looking for some advice and inspiration to get started, this option is for you!
Flat-Rate Room Design
If you’re still planning to handle the ordering and installation yourself but need more guidance and want specific product recommendations, I can continue to work with you to put together a concept board with products, swatches and art ideas for you to approve. Once we find your style, I'll share a document with information on where you can buy each of these items and a floor plan drawing of what to put where. Since you’ll be doing all product purchasing on your own, all items will be sourced from retail stores. This is a flat-rate design service priced by room.
I do the design, you do the heavy-lifting.
Full-Service Option
If after our initial consultation you choose the full-service option, I’ll provide an estimate based on the scope of your project at my hourly rate and create a concept board with products, swatches and art ideas for you to approve. Once we've found your style, I'll send you a to-scale floor plan drawing to help you visualize what the room(s) will look like. Together, we can modify this to suit your style. Then, I'll coordinate painters, wallpaper-hangers and other professionals (depending on what we need) and go shopping. You’ll have access to my entire collection of custom furniture designers for unique, heirloom pieces you won’t find anywhere else. I’ll be available to come to your home as needed to meet contractors and manage installations, and I'll put everything together with accents so it has that designer-touch, while still feeling like you. Clients interested in this service typically budget a minimum of 25k per room (including all design fees, furniture and delivery, paint/wallpaper, and installation).
I’ll be with you every step of the way to ensure that the process runs smoothly and the results are picture-perfect!
How else can I help you? Your work with me can focus on renovations both large and small, simple decor updates, home staging to sell, holiday decor, and more! If you’re in the midst of a kitchen or bathroom remodel, we can even schedule your consultation at a showroom to look at tile, cabinetry, lighting, and fixtures so that you can feel confident in your selections. Regardless of the type of design work, all of my services follow the same process of introductory call, two-hour in-home meeting, and hourly fee as needed thereafter. Whatever your design needs may be, rest assured that I can work with your schedule and accommodate your needs so that in the end you'll have a home you can be proud of. It's a blissful feeling.
